China backing India : unfolding diplomacy

So tonight i was thinking of writing my next blog on EVM malfunctioning issue in India but at I got another issue which once again returned to haunt India , but this time with a good news : that China approves blacklisting of Masood Azhar as a "global terrorist" .

This clearly is a victory for India but I surely don't believe its 'only' the victory of Indian diplomacy here, what we cannot see is China's mere victory which comes with a ray of hope to the chinese government to engage India in their dream project ; " Belt and Road Forum " . As India boycotted China's second Belt and Road Forum , despite some countries joining the BRI project , even after boycotting it in the past , China did it's best to keep the diplomatic relations alive.

Overall this counts as a diplomatic victory of the indian regime but at the same time a mere step towards constructive talks and engagements for China , so let's again wait for another ' Wuhan ' like summit for constructive talks with China ( obviously not on BRI project ) , but this time what China won is the trust of Indian regime and the ability to keep their dream project alive in Asia though not in India as far as India is concerned with its sovereignty issues.

Not only India won diplomatically today but also China played it's card smartly , and whatever you may term it , India's aim to blacklist the JeM chief as global terrorist is achieved and hopefully government will not blame ' Nehru ' for what they claim as failure for supporting China to possess the "veto power" .

Unrealistic Targets For Growth Rates : previous estimates v/s future targets

Since the government claims to lift the economy to 5 trillion dollars in the next five years, one thing should be acknowledged that this wouldn't require the finance minister to lift the economy to a couple of times more in 10 years (2014-2024). But for the government to do something extraordinary, they would have set some empirical targets at least. The current targets of the central government are : 1. 23.25% - income tax 2. 32.20% - customs 3. 44.98% - GST 4. 15.55% - union excise The growth rate targets of 2019-20 might look extraordinary but they are in sharp contrast of the estimates of 2018-19 rates. The estimates of 2018-19 were: 1. 7.16% - income tax 2. -8.60% - customs 3. 3.38% - GST 4. 0.06% - union excise One can easily estimate, how unrealistic the 2019-20 growth rates are. So, to achieve an even faster growth, empirical growth rates must be set by the government or a 5 trillion dollars economy is obvious otherwise. ...
